Senior Integration Architect (eDelivery)

Based in the heart of Transylvania, we focus on connecting talented individuals with our clients across Europe. We build and manage remote operational support and development teams, while also supporting our freelance collaborators during their journey.

We are looking for a Senior eDelivery Consultant to join a large, long-term government project focused on modernising digital infrastructure and interoperability frameworks. The role involves close collaboration with both on-site and remote teams, contributing to the design, optimisation, and governance of secure and scalable eDelivery solutions.

This is a strategic project aimed at improving data exchange and integration between public institutions and external partners through modern API and service-oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise on the design, implementation, and maintenance of AS4 and eDelivery network solutions
• Apply the 4-corner model and manage SMP/SML components to ensure interoperability
• Design and develop secure web and RESTful services based on OpenAPI, Swagger, YAML, and API standards
• Ensure API security using tools like Snyk, PKI infrastructures, OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT/JWK
• Support architectural decisions aligned with SOA and microservices principles
• Draft and deliver technical documentation, recommendations, and audit reports
• Contribute to Agile development cycles (Scrum, Kanban) and actively collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
• Define and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and best practices for testing and release processes
• Analyze and optimize event-driven architectures and messaging patterns (e.g. publish/subscribe)
• Support the full application lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, publication, and support)
• Use UML/BPMN for modeling and documentation
• Ensure compliance with interoperability standards and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in eDelivery, API integration, or related consulting roles
• Higher education in computer science, information systems, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication and documentation skills in English (French or Dutch is an asset)
• Hands-on experience with:
• AS4 / eDelivery networks, 4-corner model, SMP/SML
• Web services (SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSD, XQuery, XPath, XSLT)
• RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, Swagger, YAML
• OAuth2, OIDC, WS-Security, PKI, Snyk, and other API security tools
• SOA Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns, and Event-driven architectures
• UML, BPMN, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Testing tools (SOAPUI, Postman, ReadyAPI) and GIT for version control
• Jira and Confluence for project collaboration and documentation
• Experience working within secure, large-scale environments, preferably in the public sector
