IT Architect - Migration to SAP (with German)

We build and manage remote operational support and development teams, while also supporting our freelance collaborators during their journey.

In this role, you will take ownership of the evaluation, planning, and transition from the existing Seeburger BIS-based message transmission system to a future-ready solution. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to design migration strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain data and process quality throughout the transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lead the Seeburger BIS replacement as part of the SAP S/4HANA migration initiative
• Develop and maintain project plans, including milestones and timelines for 20252026
• Conduct feasibility and risk analyses of the existing system landscape
• Gather and evaluate requirements in close cooperation with business units and IT departments
• Coordinate all activities related to market communication and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Plan and oversee migration and replacement measures for message transmission systems
• Support the selection and implementation of alternative solutions to replace Seeburger BIS
• Create and maintain technical documentation, stakeholder lists, and communication materials
• Prepare and facilitate workshops, kick-off meetings, and stakeholder announcements
• Conduct economic feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
• Proven experience as an IT Architect in the energy or utilities industry
• Strong knowledge of market communication processes and regulations
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects
• Familiarity with Seeburger BIS, interface management, and integration design
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills
• Experience with stakeholder coordination and project documentation
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented work approach
• Fluent in German, English proficiency is an advantage
