The Role

We're looking for a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer who can build our cloud infrastructure from the ground up.
You'll own our AWS environment, implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Serverless Framework and Terraform, and create the foundation that enables our engineering team to ship confidently and frequently.

This is a hands-on role in a startup environment where you'll need to balance automation with pragmatism, and security with velocity.
You'll be expected to take initiative, identify infrastructure needs before they become problems, and build systems that scale with our business.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement AWS infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multiple services and applications
• Architect scalable, secure cloud environments for financial applications
• Implement authentication and authorization systems using AWS Cognito and OAuth2
• Own monitoring, logging, and observability across all systems
• Ensure security best practices and compliance with financial industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize deployment processes and developer experience
• Take ownership of production incidents and system reliability
• Engage with business stakeholders on infrastructure strategy and technical roadmap

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of DevOps/Platform engineering experience with production systems
• Deep AWS expertise extensive experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda
• Serverless Framework proficiency hands-on experience building and deploying serverless applications
• Strong Terraform skills Infrastructure as Code for AWS resource management and provisioning
• AWS services expertise: RDS, VPC, IAM, Cognito, API Gateway, CloudWatch
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Startup mindset comfortable building infrastructure without existing blueprints
• High ownership you take responsibility for system reliability and proactively prevent issues
• Security-conscious understanding of security best practices for financial applications
• Business engagement ability to translate business requirements into infrastructure solutions
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial services infrastructure or regulated industries
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (DataDog, New Relic, CloudWatch)
• Understanding of database administration and optimization (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with secret management and encryption
• Arabic language skills or experience in Middle Eastern markets
