About the job Mgr, Online FAE
Job Purpose and Dimensions:
To build & lead a local team of 4-5 online FAE , working alongside REN sales and focused on supporting mass market and channel partners in Amercica. The role is a player coach : whilst building / running the team, also supporting customers and partners. The role will be the anchor point for this small team and will be instrumental in developing the business model and way of workign for a long term sustainable high quality support for our Americas mass market customer base.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Build / develop / retain a customer centric team focusing on the best mix of technical & personal attributes for success.
- Build relationship and way of working (deployment/ coverage) with the REN sales and distribution partners in Americas.
- Develop the way of working with customers & contribute to wider development of providing best in class support to customers including support infrastructure & tools.
- Actively Participate in local business reviews with the relevant sales teams & partners and escalate / highlight gaps and issues needed to win customer sockets .
- Manage any logistics issues as it relates to running small office with development kits / tools and utilities that team need to provide effective L1 support for customers.
Key Performance Measures:
- Hiring & building of a team.
- Business metrics
- Confirmed products that customers have committed to use for their project (DIN).
- Opportunities that move to production with REN products (DWIN)
- Team goal of GEO revenue for country supporting. ($ Revenue)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Technical Experience
- C programming know-how and experience in developing SW in embedded platforms
- Experienced with typical IDE's & tool chains (e.g. Keil/IAR/ Eclipse based etc.) & debuggers.
- Experience in typical hardware peripherals and drivers <I2C / SPI / GPIO etc.>
- Experienced with SW and/or HW debugging techniques.
Understanding / experience of one or more Operating Systems (e.g. FreeRTOS, Azure OS, Zephyr etc.)
Knowledge
- Knowledgeable in high-level embedded C / device drivers / middleware / utilities / .
- Knowledgeable in Communication Protocols & Interface buses like I2C, UART and SPI / Clocking & Timers / memory utilization etc.
- Any wireless experience (Bluetooth / WiFi) an advantage
- Any experience of working with customers / partners an advantage.
Skills
- Strong understanding of embedded software development & sound C skills, ideally from developing application firmware /demos etc
- Strong communication skills and be able to work / communicate in a multicultural environment.
- Good questioning techniques : ability to guide conversations via open & closed questions .
Non Technical
Abilities and other characteristics
- Sound leadership experience . Experience of hiring / building a team.
- Experience of customer interaction in a support or other capacity.
- Naturally extrovert – track record of working across multiple groups to drive outcomes
- Strong judge of character needed for hiring & mentoring /coaching.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors from Computer Science / Engineering Course or equivalent in relevant discipline

- Sales teams in Americas : strong bonding with the sales leadership for mass market.
- Product Groups & Marketing groups: ensuring team gets necessary support & tools to be successful. .
- Distributor – supporting and advocation and driving our partners with whom we conduct business.
- Customer – expect that some key customer relationships will form for influence and collaboration.
