Role Overview:
As a Project Manager / Scrum Master at HR for Health, you will be responsible for driving execution, improving team collaboration, and ensuring delivery across cross-functional teams. You will lead agile ceremonies, track progress, identify risks, and act as a communication bridge between stakeholders.
This role is accountable for the business value delivered by a high-performing product and engineering team. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy in your day-to-day decisions,
while remaining deeply collaborativeseeking input and alignment from teammates and stakeholders to drive decisions that reflect both business and technical realities.
Your work will be critical in maintaining momentum, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring that the right work is being done at the right time to meet company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Own the delivery process and execution rhythm for one or more teams, ensuring clarity, accountability, and timely progress.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to define priorities, estimate effort, and coordinate deliverables.
- Track project progress and sprint velocity using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Identify and remove blockers, escalate risks early, and keep teams focused and aligned.
- Maintain up-to-date sprint boards, timelines, and reporting to ensure visibility across the organization.
- Support backlog hygiene to ensure stories are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with sprint goals.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and assist in roadmap planning and resource allocation.
- Ensure decisions are well-informed by the right people and reflect both technical feasibility and business value.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through team feedback, process iteration, and data-driven retrospectives.
- Ensure that releases are planned, communicated, and executed smoothly and predictably.
- Serve as a strong advocate for business value delivery and agile best practices across the team.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or in a similar agile delivery role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and iterative development cycles.
- Extensive experience working with software development teams and delivering SaaS products.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, and similar project management platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong sense of ownership, with a proactive mindset and the ability to balance autonomy and collaboration.
- Bonus: Familiarity with web development (Angular, PHP, Laravel) and database systems (MySQL).
