Job Openings Project Manager

About the job Project Manager

About Us

LeisureLabs is a digital transformation and software development agency shaping the future of the fitness and leisure industry. Our teams combine expertise in design, engineering, and strategy to help clients innovate and achieve measurable impact. We value collaboration, creativity, and a relentless focus on quality delivery and measurable impact.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Project Manager to lead the end-to-end scoping, planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, in close collaboration with clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams. This role requires a strong ability to translate business needs into actionable plans, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to an exceptional standard.

As a key member of the Delivery organisation, you'll work closely with consultants, designers, and engineers to drive alignment across teams and ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and an exceptional communicator who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and takes pride in delivering work that makes a measurable difference.

Responsibilities and Duties

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the full lifecycle of complex technology projects; from initiation, scopingand estimation through to delivery, testing, and closure, ensuring alignment with client objectives and contractual commitments.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and resourcing forecasts, balancing delivery velocity with commercial and quality targets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across design, engineering, product, and partner vendors (e.g, platform providers, API integrations, third-party data systems).
  • Proactively manage dependencies, risks, and change requests, implementing clear mitigation and communication strategies to maintain scope and stakeholder confidence.
  • Drive consistent documentation, reporting, and governance practices, ensuring transparency of timelines, budget, and deliverables across internal and client stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, optimising delivery processes, and contributing to the evolution of standardised delivery frameworks and templates.
  • Partner with the Delivery Director to shape delivery strategy, prioritise roadmaps, and ensure projects contribute to broader business and client growth goals.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trusted, long-term relationships through transparency, reliability, and proactive communication.
  • Prepare and lead project steering meetings and project ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, governance reviews) to align expectations, drive accountability, and enable confident decision-making.
  • Define success metrics, track delivery performance, and identify opportunities for optimisation and value creation.
  • Represent LeisureLabs' delivery excellence and partnership ethos in every client interaction, ensuring the agency is seen as a trusted strategic and technology partner, not just a vendor.
  • Contribute delivery insights to proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and partnership planning, supporting long-term account growth.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Oversee project budgets, change requests, and resource allocations, ensuring commercial targets and delivery commitments remain aligned throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, statements of work (SOWs), and change orders in partnership with delivery and product teams, ensuring clarity of scope, timelines, and commercial terms.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to maintain accurate forecasting, billing and utilisation reporting across active client accounts.
  • Monitor project margins and profitability, identifying risks and opportunities early to inform leadership decisions and maintain sustainable growth.
  • Contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives, shaping how LeisureLabs scales its delivery practices and client engagement models.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with the Director of Delivery and Project Leads to uphold best practices across projects.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performance team culture focused on accountability and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing digital, software development, or transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Experience in the fitness, wellness, or leisure industry is advantageous but not essential.
