Overview 

HR for Health is seeking a QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our HRIS web application. The QA Engineer will be responsible for manual testing, identifying issues, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Review and understand product requirements, specifi cations, and design documents to create detailed test plans and test cases. 
  • Execute manual functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for web-based applications. 
  • Log, track, and verify defects through resolution. 
  • Participate in release validation and post-release testing. 
  • Work with developers to reproduce issues and verify fi xes. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation. 
  • Support and collaborate with the automation team by identifying areas for potential automation. 
  • Provide clear, concise testing feedback to cross-functional teams. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing (web applications preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case creation, and defect management. 
  • Experience in test planning and estimating
  • Knowledge of SQL 
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar for test and issue tracking. 
  • Familiarity with browser developer tools and common debugging techniques. 
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum development processes. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred

  • Experience testing HRIS or other SaaS / B2B web applications. 
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular) and back-end systems (e.g., PHP / Laravel). 
  • Basic exposure to automated testing concepts or tools such as Playwright / Cypress (a plus but not required).
