We are seeking a senior, execution-driven Head of VC & PE Partnerships to lead and monetize Alcors relationships within the venture capital and private equity ecosystem. This role has always been envisioned as execution-led, with VC and PE serving as the sourcing channel, not the work itself.

The successful candidate will personally convert trusted VC and PE relationships into revenue-generating engagements with portfolio companies and founders. This is a high-ownership role with direct accountability for outcomes — from initial relationship activation through deal closure and early delivery.

This is not a program-led, advisory, ecosystem, or platform role. Success is measured by what you personally close and deliver, not by presence, brand building, or network size alone. The role is ideal for a builder-minded operator who thrives in environments with visible ownership, real downside, and minimal enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of VC- and PE-sourced opportunities, from first engagement through deal closure and initial execution
  • Personally convert relationships into commercial outcomes, with direct ownership of revenue and results
  • Serve as Alcors execution-focused representative within the VC & PE ecosystem in San Francisco and nationally
  • Act as a trusted commercial partner to VC and PE firms by helping their portfolio companies scale engineering teams efficiently
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue high-quality opportunities aligned with Alcors ICP
  • Represent Alcor at curated industry events, networking sessions, and targeted gatherings where relationships turn into deals
  • Maintain a strong understanding of VC/PE dynamics, portfolio needs, and market trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (sales, delivery, recruiting leadership) to ensure deals are executable and successfully delivered
  • Contribute to shaping the long-term VC/PE growth strategy, including potential team expansion as the function scales.

What We're Looking For

Execution & Monetization
  • 10+ years of experience with a balanced mix of:

    • 3–5 years in partnerships, sales, or strategic relationship management roles
    • 3–5 years in VC, PE, or the broader startup ecosystem
  • Proven track record of personally closing deals and owning revenue outcomes
  • Experience monetizing trust through execution-heavy offerings such as services, delivery, or managed outcomes
Ownership & Accountability
  • Demonstrated history of individual ownership over results (not shared or purely supportive roles)
  • Comfortable operating without large teams, heavy enablement, or institutional cover
  • Has operated in environments where failure carried personal visibility or consequence
Builder Mindset
  • Primary identity as an operator or builder, not an advisor or orchestrator
  • Hands-on approach, even in senior roles
  • Wins through execution, follow-through, and delivery
Network with Substance
  • Established network within VC, PE, founders, and portfolio operators
  • Credibility comes from results, not brand or platform affiliation alone
  • Able and willing to monetize relationships, not just maintain them
