As an APRN, your involvement spans across a wide range of responsibilities. You play a crucial role in providing holistic care, from conducting thorough patient assessments through interviews, chart reviews, and physical exams to considering various factors like illness, risk factors, family history, psychosocial context, and cultural aspects. 

You are also responsible for ordering and conducting relevant diagnostic tests and screenings, seeking input when needed for a comprehensive evaluation.

A BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is required to qualify for this role, while an MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) is preferred. Completing advanced practitioner training and certification from an approved nurse practitioner program, either in a general or specialized field, is also necessary.

A minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting and two additional years of nurse practitioner experience is expected. 

Additionally, holding a current Indiana state registered nurse license, an Indiana state license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority, and current CPR certification is essential.
