Rough to Final Layout artist
About the Role: We are seeking talented and versatile Layout Artists to join our team for an upcoming feature film project. The ideal candidate will be both highly creative and technically proficient, capable of taking shots from the experimental rough blocking stages through to final layout.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the director to execute the creative vision.
Translate storyboards into fully realized shots with strong composition and camera work.
Work closely with the asset team during the initial blockout to inform environment modelling.
Set up and refine scene staging, character blocking, and camera movements (from scouting to camera polish).
Implement basic viewport lighting to help convey the mood and cinematography of a given sequence.
Troubleshoot and solve creative and technical challenges in shot execution.
Ensure smooth transition of shot data (files, caches, information) to downstream departments.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge and experience with Maya
Excellent camera skills (from scouting to camera finesse)
Good character posing and animation skillset
- +3 years of professional experience as Rough/Final Layout Artist (for MIDS)

- Full professional proficiency in English is required; Spanish proficiency will be considered an asset.
Work Model:
Our priority is to fill these positions with candidates available to work in a hybrid-remote model from Gran Canaria. Remote work from the other Canary Islands may also be considered depending on the profile and production needs.
