Join a premier client in the Dyersburg, TN area, supported by Sourceowls, as we seek a talented and proactive individual to fill the role of Mechanical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conceptualization, development, and execution of capital projects.
- Develop detailed scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests.
- Support project construction, commissioning, and handover processes.
- Consult with stakeholders to optimize equipment design and performance.
- Solicit and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Conduct engineering reviews of project plans, drawings, and installations.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external project review meetings.
- Supervise trades and contractors for safety and quality.
- Serve as a point of contact for technical support and liaison with external agencies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting across US Lumber facilities.
- Handle verbal, written, and presentation communications for project updates.
- Assist in facility shutdowns, safety projects, and other assigned duties.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proficient in communication with the ability to read Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Drawings.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with project management experience.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or within a team.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to learning, growth, and success.
- Effective oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated safety leadership and alignment with company values.
- Valid drivers license with the ability to travel approximately 40-50% by car or plane.
- Preferably, 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
