Join a premier client in the Dyersburg, TN area, supported by Sourceowls, as we seek a talented and proactive individual to fill the role of Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conceptualization, development, and execution of capital projects.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests.
  • Support project construction, commissioning, and handover processes.
  • Consult with stakeholders to optimize equipment design and performance.
  • Solicit and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Conduct engineering reviews of project plans, drawings, and installations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external project review meetings.
  • Supervise trades and contractors for safety and quality.
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical support and liaison with external agencies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across US Lumber facilities.
  • Handle verbal, written, and presentation communications for project updates.
  • Assist in facility shutdowns, safety projects, and other assigned duties.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient in communication with the ability to read Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with project management experience.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or within a team.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to learning, growth, and success.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated safety leadership and alignment with company values.
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to travel approximately 40-50% by car or plane.
  • Preferably, 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
