About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, youll join a distributed engineering team responsible for developing and scaling core platform systems that support AI-powered matching, marketplace functionality, and global product infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role that combines system design, backend architecture, and product collaboration. Youll work closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver software that impacts thousands of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-performance applications using Python and Ruby on Rails.

• Architect and implement scalable backend systems supporting data-intensive workloads.

• Lead or contribute to key technical decisions across major product initiatives.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous technical improvement.

• Implement AI-driven features and algorithms that improve product intelligence and user experience.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Python and Ruby on Rails (required).

• Experience with distributed systems, API design, and microservices.

• Strong background in building scalable, data-rich applications.

• Familiarity with AI/ML, recommendation systems, or marketplace platforms preferred.

• Proven ability to own complex projects end-to-end and deliver results.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• U.S.-based; must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Preferred Background

• Experience in startup or high-growth tech environments.

• Track record of working in mission-driven sectors such as climate tech, sustainability, or data platforms.

• Diverse backgrounds encouraged empathy, curiosity, and collaboration are core values.

• Alumni from top engineering programs (MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, Georgia Tech, etc.) preferred but not required.

• Engineers who have worked in both startup and enterprise settings are especially valued.
