Bilingual HR Generalist & Recruiter (Remote - Colombia)
Position: Full-time, Remote (Must be based in Colombia) Compensation: COP $6,000,000 - $8,000,000 monthly (commensurate with experience) Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM U.S. Central Time (Monday - Friday)
About the Role
We are a rapidly growing, mission-driven U.S. law firm dedicated to helping immigrants secure their future. We are seeking a true HR Generalist who also recruitsnot a recruiter who also does HR.
This is a builder's role. You will be the foundational HR professional for our team, helping us build, refine, and manage our HR operations from the ground up. This is a "service role" at its core, focused on supporting our team leaders and creating efficient, scalable systems for a high-performance, remote-first culture.
A Note on Commitment: This is a 100% exclusive role. We are looking for a fully dedicated, full-time team member. This position cannot be combined with any other freelance work, consulting, personal business, or outside projects. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
Key Responsibilities
Your time will be split between comprehensive HR operations and full-cycle talent acquisition.
HR Generalist & Operations (Priority: ~70%)
- Build the Department: Take ownership of our existing HR systems and build them "from zero," implementing SOPs and improving processes for onboarding, performance, and compliance.
- Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a seamless transition.
- EOR Management: Serve as the primary HR contact for our Employer of Record (EOR, Deel). You will not process payroll, but you will be responsible for communicating all changes (bonuses, weekend pay, new hires) to the EOR.
- Employee Lifecycle: Support managers with performance evaluations, policy development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Compliance & Records: Maintain all employee records, track benefits, and ensure full compliance with all local employment laws.
Talent Acquisition (Priority: ~30%)
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the entire recruiting process for 3-5 roles per month.
- Source Key Talent: Source and screen high-quality candidates, primarily in Colombia, for roles such as paralegals, legal assistants, intake specialists, and customer service.
- Hire High-Level Professionals: As needed, you will be responsible for recruiting and screening high-level, English-speaking professionals, including U.S.-based attorneys.
- Candidate Experience: Uphold our high standards of professionalism and communication with every candidate.
Who You Are: Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: You must have 2-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a proven track record in operations, onboarding, and compliance.
Recruiting: You also have at least 2+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, ideally sourcing professional roles in Latin America.
Language: C1/Fluent English is mandatory. You must be able to confidently interview and assess the fluency of native-speaking U.S. attorneys . Native Spanish is required.
Attitude: You have a "service-role" mindset . You are a problem-solver who makes processes easier for the team.
- Accountability: You are highly organized, trustworthy, and can work with complete autonomy in a remote setting. You hold yourself to a standard of Integrity and Excellence.
Location: You must be a resident of and based in Colombia .
Tech: Experience with EOR platforms (like Deel) or HRIS (like SAP/Peoplesoft) is a strong advantage .
