About the Role
As the Tax & Zakat Manager, you will oversee tax planning, compliance, and optimization strategies for AlJammaz Group across all business units and regions. Based in KSA, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance with ZATCA, driving tax automation, and mitigating risks. Your leadership will be key to aligning tax strategies with the groups business goals while ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Planning and Optimization
- Develop and implement group-wide tax strategies, optimizing Zakat and tax liabilities in KSA and other regions.
- Restructure business units across KSA, Dubai, Doha and Egypt to align with tax and legal requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for tax savings and process improvements.
Compliance and Regulatory Management
- Manage tax compliance for VAT, Zakat, WHT, and other local and international tax obligations.
- Lead and oversee Zakat assessments, ensuring compliance with ZATCA regulations.
- Stay updated on evolving tax laws and provide guidance on complex tax issues, including transfer pricing and payroll taxes.
Tax Filing and Reconciliation
- Oversee timely and accurate tax filings, including VAT, WHT, and Zakat, across all business units.
- Ensure accurate annual Zakat reconciliations and tax submissions in KSA.
- Mitigate risks and minimize tax liabilities through proactive engagement with tax authorities.
Tax Automation and Efficiency
- Lead initiatives to automate VAT, WHT, and Zakat processes within D365 ERP.
- Streamline tax reporting and filing processes using advanced tax compliance tools.
Transfer Pricing Compliance
- Prepare and manage intercompany agreements to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
- Oversee documentation for intercompany transactions to reduce risks and meet jurisdictional requirements.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Provide training to enhance the teams technical expertise in tax laws and compliance.
- Ensure the team stays updated on the latest tax regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (CPA, CTA, or CMA preferred).
- 7 - 10 years of tax management experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in Zakat, VAT, WHT, and transfer pricing.
- Strong knowledge of regional tax laws in KSA, Dubai, Doha, and Egypt.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (D365 preferred) and tax compliance tools.
- In-depth understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
