Technical Office Manager
About the job Technical Office Manager
Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, on site teams to ensure seamless integration of technical and construction processes and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Work closely with project management team to track project budgets and schedules, providing technical solutions to maintain project timelines.
Cost Estimation:
- Prepare, review and monitor project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and in line with project forecasts.
- Ensure quantity take-offs, cost estimation and material procurement schedules.
Design Review:
- Ensure all construction designs adhere to project speciafications, codes, and safety standards.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of project drawings, documents and technical submissions.
- Manage the process for design changes and variations, ensure timely communication and implementation.
Planning:
- Work closely with project planning team engineers to develop detailed schedules, tracking project milestones and deliverables.
Quality Control:
- Ensure the accuracy, quality and compliance of all technical deliverables including material approvals and technical submittals.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and monitor the performance of technical office engineers, creating a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Problem Solving:
- Provide technical advice and solutions to any challenges or issues that arise during projects execution.
- Identify potential technical risks in the construction process and propose mitigation strategies.
Project Documentation:
- Supervise and manage the preparation, review and submission of all technical documents including designs, drawings, and specifications.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports to top management on project progress and technical challenges that may arise.
Specifications (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills)
- Bachelors degree in engineering "Civil".
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in managerial or leadership role.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g Primavera is a must, Microsoft Office, Cad 2D and ERP systems is a plus).
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, processes, contracts and project management principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication, inter-personal and organizational skills.
