MEP Manager
About the job MEP Manager
Main Purpose:
The MEP Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems of our projects. you will work closely with the project team to ensure that all MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all MEP systems of our projects, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure that all MEP systems are designed and installed correctly.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for MEP systems.
- Conduct regular site visits/inspections to monitor the progress of MEP installations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review and approve all materials and equipment submitted for the projects.
- Oversee the commissioning and testing of MEP systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
- Ensure that all MEP systems are installed and maintained in accordance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Manage and train a team of MEP engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project timelines.
- Prepare and present monthly reports to the Technical Office Manager.
- Collaborate with other project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Perform any additional related tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of MEP systems and their design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Leadership and team management skills.
