Main Purpose:

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project baselines, ensuring progress is accurately tracked, and monitoring the quality of work performed throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves preparing schedules, reports, and cost baselines while coordinating with various departments to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive project schedule using primavera p6, set project baselines and milestones in coordination with the PMO office and the project managers.
  • Monitor project progress periodically and conduct comparative analyses with established baselines, identifying deviations and proposing corrective measures.
  • Create cashflow for the projects and updating them periodically, align schedule and cashflow with the PMO financial requirements.
  • Update and manage procurement and engineering schedules, tracking, monitoring and forecasting the progress of the project's activities and deliverables.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly report for the PMO.
  • Liaise effectively with project team and different departments to facilitate communication and maintaining alignment on project schedules.
  • Use EVM techniques to assess project health and performance.
  • Perform any related additional tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural Engineering
  • 6-7 years of proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction, contracting, or real estate development.
  • Strong background in planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting for construction projects.
  • Familiarity with EPC, infrastructure, or real estate projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in using Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of project management principles is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional certification is a plus (e.g., PMRG, PMP, or equivalent).
