Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Engineer (Civil) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and procurement, with a proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes for construction projects. The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, from sourcing materials and services to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction projects, in line with company objectives and budgetary constraints

- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms of service

- Oversee the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services

- Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials and services

- Work closely with project managers and engineers to identify project needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and services

- Monitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and laws

- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry

- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices

- Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
