Geotechnical Project Engineer in the Construction Industry
We are seeking a project engineer for our geotechnical and construction materials testing department. The ideal candidate will assist in geotechnical projects and construction materials testing for residential and commercial sites, institutional and educational sites, roadways and bridges, earthwork and grading design, as well as water distribution and sanitary sewer collection projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Layout soil boring locations and oversee field data collection.
Generate logs for review and select samples for laboratory analysis.
Prepare engineering reports and oversee field operations of construction material testing.
Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, pile capacity, and retaining wall design.
Review construction materials testing reports prior to client issuance.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering (M.S. preferred).
3-5 years of relevant consulting experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate and a valid drivers license with an acceptable violation history.
