Job Title: Laser Etching Operator

Department: Etching Reports to: Operations Manager 

Position Summary

ATP is seeking a Laser Etching Operator to label metal parts using laser etching equipment. This role includes equipment maintenance and training support for other personnel.

Role Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable in both office and manufacturing environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with internal teams and external customers

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate part counts and proper material alignment on the etching platform
• Configure laser settings, adjust font dimensions, and convert blueprint data into machine-readable formats (PDF/JPG)
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to manage production and rush orders
• Maintain laser etching equipment and other related tools
• Keep work area organized and meet production and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 12 years of relevant experience
• Blueprint reading preferred
• Photoshop or similar software experience preferred
• Graphic design experience is a plus
• Quality control experience preferred

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Use of hands for handling tools and materials
• Occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs
• Requires close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Must be able to communicate clearly and maintain concentration throughout the workday
• Noise level is typically moderate
• Must have PPE
