Entry-Level CNC Machinist Responsibilities

  • Assist with Setup: Help set up machines, load raw materials, and calibrate tools under guidance.
  • Perform Quality Checks: Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to inspect finished parts.
  • Support Maintenance: Clean and maintain machines to ensure smooth operation.
  • Read Blueprints: Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Document Production: Record measurements and report any issues to supervisors.

Skills Youll Develop

  • Technical Know-How: Build familiarity with CNC programming and machine controls.

Work Environment

Expect to work with:

  • 5:00 AM 2:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Note: the 8 AM shift will transition to a later start time at the beginning of the year.)
