Job Title: Hydraulic Machine Mechanic
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Machine Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic machinery and related mechanical systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands‑on mechanical ability, and the ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic issues in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic machines, pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and related components.
- Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic systems using proper tools, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Replace defective parts, seals, fittings, hoses, and other components as needed.
- Test and calibrate hydraulic systems to ensure proper pressure, flow, and performance.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and hydraulic diagrams.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and maintenance documentation.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and other shop equipment safely when handling heavy machinery.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hydraulic Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, fluid power principles, and mechanical repair practices.
- Ability to diagnose issues using gauges, meters, and hydraulic testing equipment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in hydraulics or industrial maintenance preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or heavy equipment repair.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, welding, or basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
Work Environment
- Industrial or manufacturing setting
- Exposure to machinery, hydraulic fluids, and shop tools
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with hands-on mechanical tasks
