Company Overview:
We are a dynamic property management company overseeing multiple residential buildings, commercial shops, and a business centre. Our operations include both cash collections and online payments, with detailed monthly reporting such as Profit & Loss statements, cash flow analyses, balance sheets, and internal performance reports. Our accounting processes are managed through Zoho Software, and we currently have an in-house accountant.
Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager will oversee the companys accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient cash management, and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves supervising the existing accounting team, coordinating with external and internal stakeholders, and optimizing our financial processes using Zoho Software.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
Analyze financial performance, prepare variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management.
Accounts Management:
Manage all aspects of cash collections and online payment processing.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments in Zoho Software.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, including the in-house accountant, to maintain high accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with the property management team to ensure seamless financial operations.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial reporting.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the accounting function.
Liaise with IT and Zoho support teams to optimize software usage and integration with business processes.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and other internal teams to resolve accounting-related issues.
Prepare and present financial information and reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within property management or real estate sectors.
Proficiency in Zoho Accounting Software and strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage cash collections, online payments, and multi-faceted financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
