Position Summary:

We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Declaration Editor Team Lead to oversee and manage the team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing legal declarations and related documentation. This role requires strong editorial skills, a deep understanding of legal or technical language, and proven leadership capabilities to ensure consistent quality and timely content delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of declaration editors.
  • Allocate and prioritize workloads across the team to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks. Facilitate onboarding, training, and development for new team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Edits Oversight:

  • Review and approve complex declarations for accuracy, clarity, and legal/technical compliance.
  • Develop and maintain editorial standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency across all documentation formats and client deliverables.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency, including the use of templates, automation tools, or AI-based editing solutions.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to align declaration processes with broader organizational goals.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct spot checks and audits of finalized documents.
  • Maintain version control and manage revision tracking.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the declaration editing team and other departments.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Support client escalations and complex review situations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Legal Studies, administration, engineering or a related field (JD or paralegal certification is a plus).
  • Experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, grammar, and tone. Familiarity with legal or compliance documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of tools like Adobe Acrobat, Grammarly, or editing macros is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a law firm, insurance, or regulatory environment.
  • Understanding of declaration structures (e.g., insurance policies, affidavits, court filings). Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

Technical Requirements

Computer Specification

  • A PC or Laptop with at least an Intel 8th Gen processor (Core i5 and above), AMD Ryzen 5 3000 series or above, with Windows 11, or a Mac M1 processor or above, with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD.
  • Two screens/monitors.
  • USB Wireless headset or a USB wired Headset.
  • At least a 20 Mbps internet connection. It needs to be wired to minimize latency.
