Copywriter - Marketing

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive engagement and conversion rates.
  2. Collaborate with the marketing team to create messaging that resonates with our target audience.
  3. Conduct research and analyze data to inform content strategy and develop compelling copy.
  4. Craft high-quality, engaging copy for various marketing channels, including web, social media, email, and more.
  5. Manage and optimize our marketing funnel to improve conversion rates and ROI.
  6. Edit and proofread copy to ensure it meets brand guidelines and is error-free.
  7. Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Conduct research and analyze data to inform content strategy for upcoming marketing campaigns.
  9. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and outline messaging that resonates with the target audience.
  10. Craft high-quality copy for an upcoming email marketing campaign.
  11. Edit and proofread existing copy for a social media post.
  12. Conduct A/B testing on different variations of email marketing copy to optimize conversion rates.
  13. Edit and proofread copy for a landing page on the company website.
  14. Craft high-quality copy for a press release announcing a company milestone when
  15. Review and analyze data from various marketing channels to measure the effectiveness of recent campaigns based on copy
  16. With direction from Marketing Director help craft social media ad campaigns
  17. Review blogs
  18. Edit proof-read copy for website as necessary


Skills Required

  • Strong research and data analysis skills to inform content strategies.
  • Creative flair and ability to generate engaging messaging.
  • Proficient in copy editing and proofreading to ensure polished, error-free content.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining brand guidelines.

Technical Requirements - Computer Specifications:

  • A PC or Laptop with at least an Intel 8th Gen processor (Core i5 and above), AMD Ryzen 5 3000 series or above, with Windows 11, or a Mac M1 processor or above, with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD.
  • Two screens/monitors.
  • USB Wireless headset or a USB wired Headset.
  • At least a 40 Mbps internet connection. It needs to be wired to minimize latency.

Client Satisfaction:

The level of copywriting satisfaction among the social media team, social media followers, and our CEO.

Leadership Effectiveness Rating:

Embody team spirit and collaboration within the social media marketing team, implementing efforts to maximize its output with impeccable writing.

Operational Accuracy:

The time taken to create a social media post, script, or corporate communication, from initiation to completion.

Operational Efficiency:

Evaluate the efficiency of processes and procedures, measuring the effectiveness of social media posts within the social media marketing team.

Compliance Rate:

Ensuring social media efforts are following current firm SOPs. Ensuring marketing development efforts are following third party requirements (BAR).

Training Effectiveness:

Provide feedback to social media team lead,regarding all training being current and geared towards proficiency.
