Senior Finance and Regulatory Reporting Officer

Our client, an EU-licensed Payment Services Provider, delivers innovative and secure financial solutions for both individual and corporate clients. As the company continues to grow, were seeking a Senior Finance & Regulatory Reporting Officer to join their Malta-based team.

This role suits a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with end-of-month reporting.
• Compile and submit regulatory reports (MFSA, Central Bank of Malta, etc.), including BR06, FIR, CESOP, and CMPSS.
• Stay updated on IFRS and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely implementation of any changes.
• Handle regulatory queries and provide accurate, prompt responses.
• Support the Head of Finance with year-end reporting, audits, and preparation of the Annual Report.
• Assist in automating reporting processes and other data-related projects.
• Help design and implement accounting and reporting procedures for new initiatives.
• Review daily financial operations, including reconciliations of safeguarded funds, treasury balances, and partner accounts.
• Perform general accounting duties and other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

• 34 years experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Qualification in Accountancy or equivalent (ACCA qualified or in final stages).
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confident working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
