Senior Financial Analyst (Manufacturing)

Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid) 

Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 CAD 

Role Overview

We are currently partnering with a manufacturing client in Oakville to identify a high-caliber Senior Financial Analyst. This role bridges the gap between complex financial modeling and core accounting integrity. You will be a key partner to the Controller, driving the budget process and providing actionable insights to optimize plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making and capital expenditure (CapEx) evaluations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, identifying variances and trends within the manufacturing workflow.
• Accounting Integrity: Ensure all financial reports adhere to strong accounting principles (ASPE/IFRS); assist with month-end closing and reconciliations.
• Operational Reporting: Analyze production costs, inventory valuations, and labor efficiencies to improve gross margins.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement internal controls and workflow automation to streamline the finance function.

Qualifications

• Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Certification: CPA or CFA designation completed or actively in progress.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance experience, specifically within the manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VBA/Power Query preferred) and experience with ERP systems.
• Attributes: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate "the numbers" into operational narratives.
