Job Overview

The Sailor A/B (Able Seaman) supports the Bosun and Deck Officers in daily deck operations. Key duties include watchkeeping, navigation support, mooring and anchoring, operating and maintaining deck equipment, performing deck maintenance and cleaning, assisting with cargo and stores, supporting embarkation/disembarkation, and following all safety and environmental procedures.

Experience Required

• Some postings indicate a minimum of 1 year OS experience plus additional sea time.
• Experience must involve deck operations on seagoing vessels, including watchkeeping (lookout and helmsman), mooring and anchoring, operating deck machinery, vessel maintenance, and adherence to safety procedures.
