Job Description (English):

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages along with light snacks in Café al Bacio and/or Cova Café onboard Celebrity Cruises vessels. The role ensures that guests receive professional, friendly, and efficient service in accordance with the companys luxury brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve espresso-based and specialty coffee drinks, teas, and pastries.
• Deliver prompt, friendly, and attentive service to all guests at the café.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and visual appeal of the café area at all times.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and beverage presentation guidelines.
• Support beverage revenue targets by upselling products and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all products are properly stocked, rotated, and stored following USPH standards.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Assist in training new team members on beverage preparation and service standards.
• Uphold company policies for safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance (ISM/ISO, USPH).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food service, coffee shop, or hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation, brewing methods, and specialty drinks.
• Guest-service oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
• STCW Basic Safety Training preferred (can be completed after passing the interview).
• Must be physically fit to stand for long hours and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
