Job Overview
The Junior Guest Relations Officer supports senior officers in delivering high-quality guest services. Key duties include greeting guests, assisting with embarkation/disembarkation and check-in/out, handling inquiries and requests, coordinating with onboard departments, managing reservations for services, maintaining guest records, supporting complaint resolution, providing information about ship facilities and schedules, and upholding guest-service and hospitality standards.
Experience Required
- Often no extensive experience is required; employers may accept fresh candidates or those with minimal hospitality experience. Background in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
- If experience is required, it should be in hospitality, guest services, or similar customer-service environments. Expected skills include strong communication (often English plus additional languages), multicultural guest interaction, basic guest-relations knowledge, familiarity with reservation systems, and solid service standards. Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a problem-solving attitude are essential.
