Job Description (English):
The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for leading a designated section in the galley, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in line with Celebrity Cruises culinary excellence. The CDP supervises cooks and assistants in daily operations and ensures compliance with company and USPH standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate food preparation within assigned section (e.g., grill, sauce, cold kitchen, pastry, etc.).
- Ensure all meals are prepared and presented according to company recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Train, motivate, and guide junior cooks to maintain consistency and quality.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with USPH and HACCP requirements.
- Monitor inventory, portion control, and waste management within assigned area.
- Collaborate with Sous Chef for daily menus, production planning, and galley organization.
- Conduct regular checks on galley equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and efficient work environment at all times.
- Uphold Celebrity Cruises premium service philosophy and teamwork culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of culinary experience, including 1-2 years as Chef de Partie or equivalent position in a 4-5 star hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
- Professional culinary training or diploma required.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine and modern cooking techniques.
- Good command of English (both spoken and written).
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Leadership, teamwork, and a passion for culinary excellence.
- STCW Basic Safety Training preferred (can be completed after passing the interview).
