Job Overview

The Wiper is an entry-level engine rating responsible for assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and basic engine room duties under the supervision of engineering officers and senior engine crew. Responsibilities include routine engine room cleaning, supporting oilers and engineers in maintenance and repair tasks, performing basic lubrication and housekeeping of machinery, following safety procedures, and reporting abnormalities.

Experience Required

• Not required; prior engine room or seafaring experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Engine room work, basic mechanical or maintenance tasks, or any seafaring-related experience is considered an advantage.
