Job Overview

We are seeking skilled and reliable Oilers to join the engine department on our container vessels. The Oiler is responsible for the lubrication, monitoring, and maintenance of engine room machinery, working under the supervision of engineering officers and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessel systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lubrication and cleaning of engine machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, and oil levels, reporting abnormalities to engineers.
• Assist in overhauls, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support engineers during bunkering and fuel transfer operations.
• Maintain engine room log entries as instructed.
• Participate in safety drills and comply with company safety/environmental policies.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of engine room areas.

Qualifications

• Valid Certificate of Proficiency (COP) under STCW 2010, including Basic Safety Training (A-VI/1) and Security Awareness/Designated Security Duties (A-VI/6).
• Valid Medical Certificate.
• Sea service experience as Wiper or equivalent entry-level engine rating.
• Knowledge of engine room machinery, lubrication systems, and safety procedures.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a multicultural crew.
• Physically fit and capable of performing shipboard duties
