Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas on our ships. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing and managing the housekeeping department on board our ships
- Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained according to company standards
- Train, supervise, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service to our guests
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and address any issues promptly
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and food and beverage, to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Adhere to and enforce all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Assist with scheduling and budgeting for the housekeeping department
- Handle guest complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in onboard meetings and trainings as required
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all team members and guests
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably in a hospitality or cruise line setting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and cleaning products
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer systems
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
