Position: Physiotherapist (Cruise Ship)

Job Summary:

The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing expert musculoskeletal care and rehabilitation services to both crew members and guests. This role supports injury prevention, recovery, and physical wellness onboard, working closely with the ships medical team to maintain the health and well-being of the shipboard population.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical assessments and provide evidence-based physiotherapy treatments
  • Manage rehabilitation programs for crew with work-related injuries
  • Offer posture correction, ergonomic advice, and manual therapy
  • Provide exercise instruction and wellness guidance to prevent injury
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with ship doctors, nurses, and safety officers on return-to-work plans
  • Support crew wellness initiatives and physical health promotion
  • Assist with onboard emergency medical care when required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Physiotherapy / Physical Therapy
  • Valid license or registration to practice in home country
  • Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in orthopedic or sports injury rehab
  • Strong understanding of musculoskeletal and occupational health care
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and Microsoft Office
  • STCW and BLS certifications preferred (can be obtained before joining)
