Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Tailor Uniform Keeper to join our team on a full-time, 6-month contract. The Tailor Uniform Keeper will be responsible for ensuring that all uniforms for our crew members are properly maintained, repaired, and replaced as needed. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain an inventory of all uniforms for crew members, including tracking and recording any repairs or replacements needed

Inspect uniforms regularly for any damages or wear and tear

Perform minor repairs and alterations to uniforms, such as hemming, button replacements, and patching

Coordinate with laundry and dry cleaning services to ensure clean and pressed uniforms are available for crew members

Keep track of uniform sizes and ensure that all new hires receive properly fitted uniforms

Communicate with department heads to ensure that all crew members have the appropriate uniforms for their job roles

Maintain a clean and organized uniform storage area

Assist with uniform distribution and collection during embarkation and disembarkation days

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tailoring or garment alterations

Knowledge of different fabrics and sewing techniques

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Previous experience in the hospitality industry or with uniform management is a plus

Working Conditions:

As a Tailor Uniform Keeper, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role may require standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds. You will be working closely with other team members and department heads, and will be expected to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
