Job Description Resort Deck Attendant

Purpose of Position:

  • Ensures that the bars, lounges, pool areas, and resort decks are clean and well-maintained, adhering to Safety and Public Health Policies.
  • Provides beverage-related services in assigned areas, including bars, lounges, pool & resort decks, and other areas as needed.
  • Creates a guest-oriented service culture to increase guest satisfaction, repeat business, and company profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Bar Team with opening and closing of the bar.
  • Collect and transport supplies between storage and work areas, ensuring proper placement.
  • Set up and maintain bar and pantry work areas according to company SOPs.
  • Replenish bar supplies throughout the day and assist with bar service as needed.
  • Return used towels to the Laundry Department and ensure all furniture, sun chairs, and assigned areas remain clean and well-maintained.
  • Maintain knowledge of all beverages and food being served in assigned areas.
  • Ensure assigned inventory stock is properly stored and maintained at par levels, following Safety and Public Health Policies.
  • Follow service procedures as per company SOPs and Public Health Policies.
  • Operate F&B activities in all outlets, including beverage outlets, ensuring proper execution according to company standards.
  • Minimize equipment loss and damage, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Participate in daily team meetings ("The Daily Reunion") to align with operational needs.
  • Ensure guest comfort and sales-oriented service, maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and use proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain professional grooming standards as per Vikings Image and Uniform Policies.
  • Secure company property, especially in rough weather conditions.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Learn about ports of call, shore excursions, and shipboard activities.
  • Support achieving quality and financial goals for the Bar Department.
  • Follow safety and security policies, participating in training, fire prevention, and evacuation drills.
  • Assist in other departments and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualification (Your Profile)

  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Resort Deck Attendant or similar position in a premium hospitality or bar environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Physically fit able to carry heavy items, stand, kneel, and bend for long periods.
  • Fluent in English excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible, stress-resistant, team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented, professional appearance, and impeccable hygiene standards.
  • Good knowledge of sanitary standards.
