Title: Security Guard

Reports To: Chief Security OfficerPosition 

The Security Guard is responsible for conducting safety rounds, maintaining gangway security, and helping ensure the safety of guests, crew members, and the vessel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety rounds and monitor gangway security.
• Observe and report any unusual activities, safety concerns, or security incidents to the Chief Security Officer or the Deck Officer on duty.
• Respond to incidents, including fires or emergencies, and follow onboard emergency procedures until assistance arrives.
• Familiarize yourself with the location and proper use of safety equipment.
• Monitor compliance with shipboard safety and security regulations.
• Report damage, misuse of ship property, or violations of shipboard rules.
• Assist with handling passenger complaints professionally and courteously.
• Follow company safety, environmental, and quality standards.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Hiring Requirements

• Previous experience in marine safety and security.STCW certification
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong character, professional ethics, and a calm, well-mannered attitude.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds (approximately 23 kg).Good vision, hearing, and communication abilities.
• Physically fit to participate in emergency drills and lifesaving procedures, including lifeboat operations.
