Position: Public Area Attendant

Position Overview:

As a Public Area Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas on our cruise ships. You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a pleasant and comfortable experience while on board. This is a full-time, rotational position, which means you will have the opportunity to work on different ships and travel to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain all public areas, including lounges, restaurants, theaters, and other common spaces, according to company standards and procedures

- Vacuum, dust, and mop floors, and wipe down surfaces in public areas

- Empty trash and replace garbage bags as needed

- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies

- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor

- Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner

- Observe and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department

- Assist with set up and breakdown of events and activities in public areas

- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests and crew members

- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or cruise ship environment

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects

- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal

- Must be able to obtain necessary travel documents and visas
