Purpose of Position:

• Ensures the daily sorting, washing, drying, and ironing of linens according to Vikings Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the laundry area, ensuring compliance with Public Health and Safety Standards.
• Contributes to guest satisfaction and operational efficiency in line with Vikings STAR Service Standards.

Responsibilities:

• Sort linens, towels, and uniforms daily, ensuring proper handling according to fabric type and cleaning procedures.
• Load and unload washers and dryers, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
• Operate the flat iron machine, ensuring towels and linens are neatly folded.
• Monitor the iron roll pressure and steam supply for optimal efficiency.
• Regularly clean dryer ducts and laundry areas to prevent blockages and fire hazards.
• Report any equipment damages or malfunctions to the Laundry Master.
• Ensure correct handling of cleaning products, chemicals, and laundry equipment following safety guidelines.
• Sort and dispose of garbage properly, maintaining compliance with sanitary regulations.
• Participate in daily team meetings ("The Daily Reunion"), aligning with operational needs and service standards.
• Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring efficient laundry operations.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and use correct lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
• Maintain professional grooming standards per Vikings Image and Uniform Policies.
• Secure company property, particularly during rough weather conditions.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Support achieving Laundry Department goals (quality and financial targets).
• Follow safety and security protocols, participating in fire prevention and evacuation drills.
• Assist in other departments as required.

Qualification (Your Profile)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Laundry Staff, Laundry Attendant, or similar role in a professional laundry environment.
• Fluent in English strong communication skills for understanding cleaning instructions and safety procedures.
• Guest-focused, service-oriented, with a positive personality and professional appearance.
• Flexible, stress-resistant, team player, with a strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of operating washers, dryers, and flat iron machines.
• Comprehensive understanding of Public Health and Sanitary Policies.
• Ability to physically handle 50+ lbs. (30 kg) daily and work a minimum of 1011 hours per day, 7 days a week.
