Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundry Master to join our team. As a Laundry Master, you will be responsible for managing the laundry operations on board our ships, ensuring that all linens, towels, and guest clothing are cleaned and ready for use. You will also be responsible for leading and supervising a team of laundry attendants to ensure that all laundry tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the laundry department, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of all linens, towels, and guest clothing.

- Maintain inventory of all laundry supplies and equipment and ensure that they are well-maintained and in good working condition.

- Train and supervise a team of laundry attendants to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

- Monitor and maintain the quality of laundry services to ensure that all items are cleaned and presented to the highest standards.

- Implement and maintain proper procedures for handling and storing different types of linens and clothing.

- Ensure that all laundry equipment is operated safely and efficiently, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.

- Maintain accurate records of laundry inventory, expenses, and productivity.

- Communicate with other departments to coordinate laundry needs and resolve any issues or concerns.

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in laundry operations is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or cruise line industry.

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.

- Knowledge of laundry equipment and operations, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding techniques.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
