Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Dispatcher to join our team at Royal Caribbean. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the movement of personnel and resources to ensure the smooth operation of our cruise ships. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and effective communication and response to any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive and respond to all incoming communication, including calls, emails, and radio transmissions

- Coordinate and dispatch personnel and resources to different areas of the ship as needed

- Monitor and track the location and status of all personnel and resources

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispatch activities

- Communicate with various departments to ensure timely and efficient response to any issues or emergencies

- Monitor weather and other external factors that may affect operations and make necessary adjustments

- Provide support and assistance to crew members and guests as needed

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of all personnel and guests

- Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate departments and follow up as needed

- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times, representing the company in a positive manner

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Previous experience in a dispatch or coordination role preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of maritime operations and safety protocols a plus

- Proficiency in computer systems and programs

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Working Conditions:

As a Dispatcher for Royal Caribbean, you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You may be stationed in an office or control room, but will also be required to move around the ship to coordinate with different departments.
