Job Overview:

As an Apprentice Purser, you will join the onboard team responsible for providing exceptional guest services and maintaining the smooth operation of the ship. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in various areas of the cruise industry, including guest services, finance, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Purser in providing guest services, including check-in, room assignments, and resolving guest inquiries and concerns

- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with cash handling and transactions

- Support the onboard administration team with tasks such as data entry and filing

- Learn and understand the ship's layout and services to assist guests with directions and recommendations

- Participate in safety drills and assist with emergency procedures as needed

- Attend training sessions and workshops to develop your skills and knowledge in the cruise industry

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

- Uphold the company's standards of service and professionalism at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous customer service experience is an asset

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary travel documents

Contract Details:

This is a full-time, 12-month contract position. You will be required to live and work onboard one of our ships, with accommodation and meals provided. You will also have the opportunity to travel to various destinations around the world while gaining valuable experience in the cruise industry.
