Position: Security Officer (Cruise Ship)
Employer: Royal Caribbean Group

Start: Upon Completion of Selection & Training
Job Summary:
The Security Officer is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of onboard security operations, ensuring the safety of guests, crew, and the vessel. This role requires vigilance, discipline, and professionalism while working under the direction of the Chief and Deputy Chief Security Officers.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor access control at gangways, crew areas, and restricted zones
- Patrol public and crew areas regularly to deter and detect security risks
- Operate CCTV and surveillance systems as assigned
- Assist in investigations and incident reporting
- Respond to onboard emergencies including security alerts and drills
- Enforce shipboard rules and maintain order during large events or gatherings
- Escort guests or crew members if needed for security reasons
- Follow ISPS Code, SOLAS, and Royal Caribbeans security protocols
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement
- Cruise ship or hospitality security experience is a plus
- STCW and Designated Security Duties (DSD) certificates required
- Physically fit and able to stand/patrol for extended hours
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Professional appearance and high level of integrity
