Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and diligent Third Officer (3/O) to join our container vessels. The Third Officer is a licensed deck officer responsible for watchkeeping, safety equipment maintenance, and navigation support under the supervision of the Chief Officer and Master.

Responsibilities

• Stand navigational watch and ensure safe passage of the vessel.
• Assist in voyage planning, chart corrections, and navigational updates.
• Maintain and inspect safety, firefighting, and lifesaving equipment.
• Assist Chief Officer in cargo operations and stability management.
• Supervise deck crew during operations, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.
• Prepare reports, logs, and documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) under STCW 2010 Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW, Reg. II/1).
• Basic Safety Training (A-VI/1), Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3), Medical First Aid (A-VI/4-1), Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (A-VI/2-1).
• Valid Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
• Previous sea service experience as Deck Cadet or equivalent.
• Proficient in navigational equipment, ECDIS, and bridge procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good command of English for maritime operations (Marlins or equivalent preferred).
• Physically fit and capable of performing officer duties at sea.
