Job Description (English):

The Joiner is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing all interior fittings, furniture, and decorative elements onboard Celebrity Cruises vessels. The role requires strong technical and craftsmanship skills in carpentry and finishing works, ensuring the ships guest and crew areas remain in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all maintenance, repair, and restoration work on wooden, laminated, and upholstered surfaces (including furniture, panels, carpets, and wallpapers).
• Execute work orders assigned by the Accommodations Maintenance Manager and/or Staff Captain.
• Ensure that all repair activities are performed safely and in accordance with company environmental and safety policies (ISM/ISO, SQM, and USPH standards).
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and proper use of tools, materials, and workshop areas.
• Participate in scheduled safety drills and adhere to Celebrity Cruises environmental protection policies.
• Assist other maintenance team members with cross-department repair tasks when required.
• Uphold the companys STAR service principles by demonstrating professionalism and positive energy when working in guest or crew areas.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry, joinery, or furniture repair, preferably in a hotel, cruise, or shipyard environment.
• Completion of high school or equivalent vocational education.
• STCW certificates (Basic Safety & Social Responsibility) required.
• Knowledge of woodworking tools, furniture restoration, and decorative material handling.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; able to understand technical drawings and safety procedures.
• Physically fit to perform repair work and participate in shipboard safety drills.
