Cleaner – Celebrity Cruises

About the Position

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout assigned areas onboard the ship. This position supports the Housekeeping team by ensuring that crew areas, operational areas, and other designated spaces are kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.

This role is suitable for candidates who are hardworking, physically active, willing to learn, and interested in starting a career in the international cruise industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas according to company cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wash, and sanitize floors, surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to onboard procedures.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock when necessary.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Assist other members of the Housekeeping team when required.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned duties within the required timeframe.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance while working onboard.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hotel, restaurant, hospital, shopping mall, office building, or a related environment is an advantage.
• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience are welcome to apply.
• Entry-level candidates with a good attitude and willingness to learn may be considered.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Able to understand and follow work instructions.
• Good teamwork and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to perform active duties for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
• Willing to work onboard for an extended contract period.
