About the job Upholsterer
The Upholsterer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and conservation of the ship's upholstery, carpets, wallpapers, and related furnishings onboard. The role reports to the Accommodations Maintenance Manager and requires skills in upholstery repair and general maintenance work.
Main Duties:
- Repair and maintain upholstery, carpets, wallpapers, and furniture.
- Respond quickly to maintenance issues and guest complaints.
- Follow safety, environmental, and company policies onboard.
- Properly use and maintain tools, chemicals, and equipment.
- Assist with other maintenance tasks when required.
- Be available for shift work and emergency duties if needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as an apprentice or assistant upholsterer, preferably onboard ships.
- Good English communication skills.
- Completed STCW95 and social responsibility training.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Professional attitude and good customer service skills.
