Job Overview

We are seeking competent and dependable Able Seamen (AB) to join our container vessels. The AB is responsible for performing deck operations, maintenance, and seamanship tasks, as well as supporting safe navigation and cargo operations under the supervision of deck officers and Bosun.

Responsibilities

• Stand lookout and steering watch as directed by deck officers.
• Perform deck maintenance including painting, chipping, cleaning, and rope work.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring, and cargo handling operations.
• Operate deck equipment such as winches and cranes under supervision.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations onboard.
• Support Bosun in leading Ordinary Seamen (OS).

Qualifications

• Valid Certificate of Proficiency (COP) under STCW 2010, including Basic Safety Training (A-VI/1), Security Awareness/Designated Security Duties (A-VI/6), and Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (A-VI/2-1).
• Valid Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
• Proven sea service experience as Ordinary Seaman (OS) or equivalent.
• Strong seamanship skills including rope handling, rigging, and deck equipment operations.
• Good command of English for maritime communication (Marlins or equivalent preferred).
• Physically fit and capable of performing shipboard duties.
