About the job CDL-A Driver - New CDL Welcome
Straight talk for new drivers in the Coastal Bend: you have the CDL, and you need the first job. This is it.
We're hiring around Robstown, Calallen, Banquete, Bishop and west Corpus Christi. You don't need experience. You need a Class A, a decent record, and the will to learn.
What we pay you to learn
Orientation lasts no more than 2 days, with lodging covered, your bus ticket reimbursed and $300 paid once you're hired. Then 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200–250 hours of real driving, at $650 a week.
What happens when you go solo
You join a regional fleet based in Houston. Freight moves through Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee, with some loads to Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois. You'll run 1,700–2,000 miles a week. Some loads are drop and hook, some preloaded, some live. Some customers need you on holidays, and time off is requested in advance. You're home every 2 weeks.
What you'll earn

- For 3 months after your first solo dispatch, never less than $1,000 a week
